Kids summer cooking at Kinning Park Complex

We have been cooking up international cuisine at Kinning Park Complex this week as part of their kids programme. Inspired by the Empire Cafe menu we’ve been testing recipes with local ingredients and flavours of Commonwealth countries. The beetroot, so local that is was grown in the back garden of KPC was matched with some cocoa to make beetroot brownies. Carrots were a feature in many of the recipes including spring rolls, carrot and orange soup and Jamaican patties.
